Running from Friday 17th to Monday 20th September 2010, On|Off - the innovative fashion showcase during London Fashion Week - features an impressive line-up with fourteen catwalk shows, three presentations and 22 exhibition designers.
Once again taking place in the Victoria House Basement and having re-designed the catwalk space to accommodate 450+ guests, the On|Off catwalk schedule features five ‘On-Schedule’ and nine ‘Off schedule’ designers. Highlights include: Roksanda Ilincic, Pam Hogg, Jean-Pierre Braganza, Charlie le Mindu and Julian J Smith.
On|Off are also excited to be hosting the first independent catwalk for Louise Gray. Considered one of the brightest new designers emerging from the UK her show promises to be one of the most distinctive and original this season.
This September also sees the return of the On|Off Visionary Award – won this season by the talented Louise Amstrup.
Lee Lapthorne, Creative Director of On|Off commented, “What makes this season so unique is On|Off's blend of established talents like Roksanda Ilicic and exciting new labels like Julian J Smith. We have become known as a springboard of new discovered talent which are then picked up by the establishment moving onto NewGen and beyond.”
As well as the enviable catwalk schedule, On|Off will showcase presentations from up and coming designers: Ada Zanditon, Simon Ekrelius and Jayne Pierson whilst the exhibition includes collections from: Brooke Roberts, Marc Philippe Coudeyre and new knitwear designer Angela Cassidy.
Danish born Louise Amstrup is named as the winner of The On|Off Visionary Award 2010.This season at On|Off, the innovative fashion showcase during London Fashion Week, Louise Amstrup will receive an exclusive opportunity to launch her Spring Summer '11 collection to an array of UK and international buyers and media. “The focus of The Visionary award is about giving a designer the support in order for them to expand within the industry.” Claire Ginzler – Fashion Director On|Off. The Visionary Award presents Louise Amstrup with a free catwalk, On|Off will also supply all casting and production elements for the designers showcase.
On|Off wants to congratulate designer Yang Du on having been awarded NEWGEN sponsorship. Having shown for the last two season's as part of the On|Off Presents... initiative, Yang joins an alumni of other On|Off designers to receive NEWGEN including: Peter Pilotto, Mark Fast, Emilio de la Morena, Anna Vince, Osman Yousefzada, JW Anderson and Hannah Marshall.
