On|Off provides an incredible portal for both raw talent to gain recognition and for buyers and press to access the new and upcoming designers of the future. Its success and innovation is unique to London and confirms the city's creativity and incubation of future talent. It is both inspirational and exciting.
Hannah Teare, Tatlers Fashion Director
It's easy to forget that, before On|Off's arrival in 2003, there wasn't really a recognisable platform for younger British designers to show during LFW. Certainly not one that was as professional as On|Off. This meant they marked out territory relatively quickly. And they wouldn't have continued without forging such impressive standards. On|Off quickly established itself with impressive, centrally-located venues, slick show production and never forgetting to smile throughout the pressure. It's no exaggeration to say that industry visitors were able to take London seriously after On|Off appeared on the scene.

The On|Off project provides a great springboard for young British talent and it is for this reason that I am delighted to be involved in the early advisory stages of the project. It will provide an organised event for a small, focused group of individual designers to reach press and buyers.

One of the things that I think is particularly commendable about the way On|Off works, is this nurturing aspect they provide. It shouldn’t be radical but it is.
Integrity, authenticity, creativity, discovery, laughter and chocolate. On|Off delivers all these things.
The key thing that separates On|Off from the others is that they nurture designers.

Thanks again for all of your support with the Autumn/Winter 09 presentation! I chose On|Off to launch my label at, and this was part of my business strategy. I think it’s a crucial event during the LFW schedule – it’s unique edge is that is supports both new designers as well as those more established. It is fantastic to be involved with an event that supports and nurtures talent coming out of the UK.

On|Off is the raw bones of fashion. If you want to see the hottest up and coming talent, watched by the most obsessive trend-setters in the industry, then head there. Hands-down, my favourite shows last season were On|Off's (Pam Hogg in particular!) Because there's a passion, energy, excitement and doing-it-for-the-love-of-it element you don't see elsewhere. LFW just wouldn't be LFW without On|Off.
